    Hi Damien,

This is not a job offer – well not really – but I have set up a new website in an attempt to get Ireland out of recession by getting people (especially the unemployed) to come up with ideas for websites. Full details are at: norecessionroundhere.com – just thought I’d mention it.

btw I too am from Galway.

    Hi Damien,

I can relate to what you said about turning 30. I live in Chicago, and I know a lot of those places where High Fidelity (film) took place. That film really spoke to me as well. The same goes for Bill Hicks. I actually quit my job in business and went back to school to be a teacher. I would highly recommend it. I actually teach German in a high school here in the U.S. The pay is pretty goood and you get lots of vacation. You actually do impact “a few” students and change the directions of their lives, or at least you hope you do. Think about a government job such as teaching. Also, you live in Galway, which is an awesome city with good craic. I’ve been over there a few times and had a blast. Of course I was in my mid 20s drinking every day, etc. It may be different when you live there, etc. Cheer up and go back to school and become a teacher! That is my tip to you from across the sea.

    Alex
